After 5 weeks of bad weather, resulting in delays and two rounds of the normal season being cancelled, this weekend saw both Russell Vale teams back on the paddock in their respective semi finals. Russell Vale FC were facing Bulli FC at Tarrawanna in the 2 v 3 play off while Russell Vale United faced South Coast at Cawley Park in the 1 v 4 game.

To cut a long story short, while the grounds were still heavy and there was evidence of rust having set in due  to the long layoff, both teams were victorious with FC beating Bulli 4-1 and United getting over the top of South Coast 2-0.

That sees both teams through to the Grand Final, for the second season in a row. A great effort so far.

The Grand Finals will be play on 20 September at a venue and time to be announced.
